Chance The Rapper Says In 2018, Soundcloud Projects Will Be Considered For Grammy Nominations
The Chicago “No Problem” hitmaker is setting a trend in music as the first independent artist to be grammy nominated for a free album with his second solo-effort, ‘The Coloring Book‘. But Chance feels his biggest accomplishment to date is merely a stepping stone for what’s to come in the new era of music.
Taking to twitter last night, Chance prophesied, all projects released on Soundcloud will be eligible for a Grammy starting in 2018. In a single tweet, Chano speaks into existence the following:

Making history, the change itself will now allow completely independent artists, free of both label ties and ties to streaming services, to receive recognition for their work. An announcement fit for no one better to make than Kanye’s protege.
Chance makes the major announcement on the heels of his historic seven Grammy-nomination at this year’s upcoming ceremonies all thriving from his hugely successful, ‘The Coloring Book’. Along with “No Problems”, the album features guest appearances from Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Kanye West, T-Pain, D.R.A.M, and Future and fellow hit singles, “All Night” and “Summer Friends”.
