Lil’ Wayne To Release Fourth Project This Year ‘Velvet’
Last week, Lil’ Wayne took to Facebook to remind fans that three projects where on the way, ‘Carter V, ‘Funeral,’ and ‘Dedication 6.’
But that’s not all folks. According to Young Money president Mack Maine, there’s actually a forth project on the way as well called ‘Velvet.’
In an interview published with REVOLT, he touched on the label’s plans for 2017, including projects from Drake and Nicki Minaj.
“We wanna get that Carter V out,” Mack Maine said. “Wayne also has a dope project called Velvet. We want to get that out. Drake dropping top of the year. Nicki got some features that — I’ve been in the studio with her lately — that she’s just killing. She also gonna be working on her solo project and she’s dropping.”
He also revealed Weezy formed a new group called “L.A.T.” aka Loyalty Amongst Thieves with Gudda Gudda and new Dallas signee HoodyBaby.
“They going bananas,” Maine said of the group before elaborating on even more releases. “Demeo dropping his mixtape top of the year, Kingpin… We got some shit in the chamber for y’all man. We gonna be all over your radio, all over your TV screen. If you got any problems with us, you not gonna be able to avoid us.”
So any retirement rumours for Weezy can go straight into the trash. He’s not going anywhere, at least this year (for better or for worse).
