Daft Punk Snag First Billboard #1 Hit With The Weeknd’s “Starboy”
Daft Punk finally topped the charts! Their hit “Starboy” with The Weeknd has officially claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the electronic duo something they’ve been yearning for decades.
They first hit the scene in 1993, scoring their first Billboard 100 placement a few years later in 1997 with “Around The World” coming in at #61. Then in 2013 when they released ‘Random Access Memories,’ with an assist from Pharrell “Get Lucky” achieved No. 2 status, but this of course takes the cake.
This is The Weeknd’s third time topping the charts, but definitely not his last. His latest album ‘Starboy‘ is just starting to pick up steam. Hell, this wasn’t even the best Daft Punk collab off the album. “I Feel It Coming” definitely takes the cake.
