U2 Announce They’re Headlining Bonnaroo & Will Release New Album ‘Songs of Experience’ In 2017
U2 are one of the more legendary rock bands ever, led by front-man Bono, and it looks like they’re ready to make a reassurance in 2017. This comes right in time as their 1987 project, ‘The Joshua Tree‘ (which was their fifth studio album) is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
To celebrate Christmas, the group posted a video to their Facebook page announcing a string of “very special shows” and confirmed their long-awaited album ‘Songs Of Experience‘ will arrive next year as well.
Billboard is claiming one of those special shows will be Bonnaroo in June, but they have since redacted that part of their report as they probably weren’t supposed to reveal that just yet. But with a headliner like U2, it should help bring Bonnaroo’s attendance back after 2016 only brought 45,000 attendees.
