It’s been just over a year since Chance The Rapper made history by being the first independent artist to perform on Saturday Night Live. And now, capping off an incredible 2016, the 23-year old MC takes the national television stage yet again, doing up the season finale.

He performed two tracks, “Finish Line/Drown” with fellow Chicago artist Noname and then “Same Drugs” which he did behind a piano.

And if being the musical guest wasn’t enough, he also took the stage for a skit, teaming up with the surviving Run-DMC members Rev Run and DMC for a parody to honor Obama’s last Christmas.

This feat follows up a year when he released his highly anticipated ‘Chance 3‘ that led to placements most artists can only dream of. He did the new Kit Kat Jingle, teamed up with ESPN and the NBA, performed on Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, Good Morning America, The ESPYs, The Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel, and more, sold out U.S. Cellular Field, worked with Nike and the Olympics…. the list goes on and on.
