Steve Aoki & One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Drop “Just Hold On”
Steve Aoki teams up with One Direction‘s Louis Tomlinson for his new single, “Just Hold On.” It’s a pure EDM/pop hybrid made to make you want to dance and singalong at the same damn time.
Steve Aoki has of course been known to reach with his collaborations. Not including all of the fellow producers he’s worked with, Aoki has previously spanned genres with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Lil Jon, Rich The Kid & ILoveMakonnen, Lil Uzi Vert, Blink-182, Adam Lambert, Snoop Lion, Fall Out Boy, the list goes on and on. So nothing should really surprise us now.
This release comes just days after Tomlinson’s mom Johannah Deakin tragically passed away from leukemia. She was only 43. Prayers to the family, and we hope this release makes her proud. RIP.
“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday, December 7,” the family said in a statement. “Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”
They two performed the track at the X Factor UK Finals, where Louis was able to honor his mother. Watch it below.
