YONEE Drops Debut Single “Bombs Of My Love”
For those of you that have been with us for years, the name Yoni may ring a bell. He dates back to the glory days of mashups, gracing us with the likes of “Taylor’s Coke Problem,” “Mr. Brightside’s Boyfriend” among others – and all this was over 4 years ago. Since then, Yoni has taken the to DJ-ing all over the world, and working on his craft.
So without further ado… let us reintroduce him to you as YONEE – producer, singer and songwriter. Today, he presents his debut original “Bombs Of My Love” almost reminiscent of the Avicii “Wake Me Up” era. On this one, he did it all. Excited to see what’s next!
If that wasn’t enough, he’s also on a mission for change, we’ll let him tell you about hit himself:
The past couple of years have been ridden with horrible tragedies that have casted dark shadows over our society. It seemed like there was/is a daily cycle of horrific occurrences on the news. So, I decided I wanted to help make a positive impact in hopes of bringing people together with a deeper sense of unity through art and music.
After writing my first song, “Bombs of My Love,” the message I wanted to convey was that love triumphs over metaphorical war, and I felt that it had a deeper purpose. Over the last three months, I traveled the world and partnered with artists to reinterpret the song through art form to promote the themes of love, unity, and coalescence of culture.
I felt it was very important to travel to Paris, Orlando, and the other cities that have been affected terribly by these tragedies to understand the perspectives of people who lived through them. I wanted to converse with artists to see how together we could help make a change and inspire people positively through different platforms. I’ve been waiting for a time when I would have a platform to inspire positive change and the time is now.
It’s easy to move on to the next story in today’s fast paced world of media but for the thousands of people affected by these terrible tragedies their days might not move at all. So I pray that we keep them in our minds and hearts and do what we can to help. There are many ways we can have an impact, from donating to just a simple act of kindness every day to make this world we live in a better place.
I dedicate this video to the city I grew up in, Orlando, and to anyone else who has been affected by these devastating tragedies.
