Let this be a lesson to everyone that gossip, rumors, online bullying – can have a toll on anyone, regardless of how famous you are. Late last night, Kehlani survived a suicide after yesterday’s drama.
If you hadn’t heard, PARTYNEXTDOOR took to Instagram yesterday (post has since been deleted) with an intimate photo with Kehlani, saying “After all the shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed.”
This all while she was supposedly dating Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Caveliers.
Because of this, Kehlani was ripped to shreds on social media, being accused of cheating on Kyrie in such a public setting.
Which led to her trying to end her life, as she admitted in an Instagram post herself. She wasn’t even cheating guys. And the internet led her to try and take her life.
“today I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. But.. Don’t believe the blogs you read .. No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person… Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow.. But God saved me for a reason, and for that… I must be grateful.. Cuz I’m not in heaven right now for a reason… On that note.. Bye Instagram.”
There’s a reason we didn’t post about the “gossip” yesterday for cheap, easy hits.
So, lesson hopefully learned, Internet? You do you, and let other do them. What you do on the internet actually has long lasting, life changing consequences.
