James Iha Reunites on Stage With Smashing Pumpkins After 16 Years

It’s no secret that Billy Corgan and the rest of the Smashing Pumpkins haven’t been on the same page for a while, but this past Saturday we got a glimpse of the original lineup at their LA stop of the In Plainsong tour. For the first time in 16 years, guitarist James Iha joined the band to jam through the ‘Siamese Dream’ portion of the band’s set list, replacing current touring guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Iha and Corgan played through “Mayonaise”, “Rocket”, “Soma”, “Today”, “Spaceboy”, “Whir”, and “Disarm”. The frontman even brought out Iha during the encore to celebrate his birthday, complete with a cake and “Happy Birthday” song. Check it out below:
