Kygo Set To Make History At The Nobel Peace Prize Serenade In Oslo, Norway Next Week

On December 11th, 2015, Kygo will makes history as he will become the first Electronic Dance Musician to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, which is taking place at the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway. Kygo will be playing next to two other Norwegian artists, a-ha and Aurora, to help honor the National Dialogue Quartet from Tunisia for their Democracy work. Here’s what Kygo had to say about this honor:

“I am proud to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and even more so when I see the other artists confirmed for the concert.” – Kygo

Kygo will also become the first artist to ever serenade the National Dialogue Quartet, where he’ll play an acoustic rendition of his debut single, “Firestone,” which will take place at the conclusion of the annual Torch Parade on December 10th; a day before the actual ceremony.

Olav Njølstad, the Director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute said:

“Kygo is a Norwegian world sensation that we are looking forward to seeing at Telenor Arena in December. Considering the hit catalogue he already has produced, I’m happy that the Nobel Peace Prize Concerts new format allows each artist time for additional songs.”

The entire concert will be streamed via YouTube, so the whole world can watch this history be made. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me! Congrats Kygo – truly an amazing honor!
