Eminem & Michael Jordan Link Up For Limited Edition Kicks Celebrating Shady Label’s 15th Anniversary
Without showing too much of a bias here, two of the best within their respective crafts (Michael Jordan in Basketball and Eminem in the Music Industry), have linked up to provide us with a very special collaboration. In celebration of the 15 year anniversary of Eminem’s, Shady Records Label, Jordan, Eminem and Carhartt released 10 pairs of Air Jordan IV’s (arguably the most sought after shoe of Jordan’s 23-shoe showcase) with all proceeds benefitting the Literacy Through Songwriting Program by the MSU Community Music School-Detroit as presented by The Marshall Mathers Foundation.
This isn’t the first time Jordan and Eminem have gotten together for a shoe collection, as back in 2005, they released 50 pairs of blue Air Jordan IV’s to celebrate Em’s, Encore Album. Ten years later, there is one of the 50 pairs selling on Ebay for a cool $26K (image after the jump, Ebay link HERE – but bidding ends in two days for those).
You can head over to Ebay right now to bid on one of the ten pairs for auction, but be careful, the cheapest of the ten is bidding at a cool $11k at the moment, with no signs of slowing down. But hey, if the 2005 editions are any indication of an investment, it looks like each shoe will appreciate at about $1,000 a year. Not a bad return on an investment on a pair of shoes. And remember – there are only TEN pairs out there – don’t be that guy who buys a fake pair of these…
