Justin Bieber goes tropical house with “What Do You Mean,” a very fitting follow up to his Skrillex and Diplo aka Jack U collaboration, “Where Are U Now?“
He hops on the bouncy, made-famous-by-Kygo, co-produced by Bieber himself and the singer’s “Boyfriend” collaborator MdL, for a smooth, catchy vocal. Single is out August 28th. As usual, hit maker Poo Bear aces yet again as a co-writer.
So no, Skrillex as NOT the producer as we and the rest of the world claimed, but he did have… interesting… things to say about Skrilly:
“It’s really uplifting, clear, poppy, but cool,” he revealed. “The sounds are super expensive. Skrillex is a genius. He’s super futuristic and I just love his sound. So to be able to incorporate that sound with what I’m doing has been super cool because it’s new and fresh. I feel like no one has done it before. I’m very excited.” -Justin Bieber
This is Bieber’s first official solo single in about two years. He’s been counting down for a month now, and it’s about damn time. It’s definitely at least better than the haters of yore expected, and will without a doubt be a hit. But do you dig?
New album coming November 13th.
