Apple rolled out their new streaming service today, Apple Music, which has been both highly anticipated and highly scrutinized, and whether you like it or not, it’s available. Along with this announcement, Apple surprised a lot of people by introducing Kygo and Tropical House Music as ‘the face‘ of the new service. Larry Jackson, Apple Music’s Head of Content said:

“My excitement to work with Kygo on this idea was abundantly clear to anyone who was within five feet of me these past few weeks — I couldn’t stop talking about it. More than being a great DJ and producer, this guy is an impressive musician, and a lot of people are just discovering that.”

This is pretty huge news not only for Kygo, but for the Tropical House world as well, which many have thought to be fading. When you enter Apple Music’s homepage, you’ll see Kygo in the background playing the piano on a continuous loop as you navigate through different pages. In reference to being named as ‘the face’ of Apple Music, Kygo stated:

“I’ve really enjoyed working together with Apple to help launch their new streaming service. It is really cool to see Apple getting involved.”

Apple Music is now available and comes with a 3-Month Free Trial period as well. Check out the homepage HERE.
