JAY Z Starts #TIDALforALL Movement For New App w/ Kanye West, Daft Punk, Rihanna, Deadmau5
If you haven’t heard yet, JAY Z just spent $56 million on a music streaming service called Tidal. He hopes to change the game with the acquisition, and it comes during a very crucial time for streaming engines, as Apple and Beats Music are in the process of a full revamp after not being able to undercut Spotify.
You may also have heard that HOV’s first move with Tidal was to get Taylor Swift back into the streaming game, as her entire catalog is now available on the platform.
To start they hype, JAY Z has started the #TIDALforALL movement on social media, getting basically every major artist from hip hop, to pop, even EDM to turn their profile pages blue (so they say, it’s clearly more cyan). Within the first 15 minutes he’s gotten support from Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyonce (duh), Calvin Harris, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Jack White, Coldplay and tons more. By the time you wake up tomorrow, there’s a good chance your Facebook feed will come with a photosensitive warning.

We don’t know exactly what all this means… but seeing everyone that’s involved, it’s bound to be EPIC and they want you to be a part of it by donating your social media presence to the cause.
Looks like it’s launching Monday @ 5 PM EST. Rumor has it it’ll cost $19.99/month though…
Together, we can turn the tide and make music history. Start by turning your profile picture blue. #TIDALforALL
