Oliver Heldens has been one of our favorite producers within the last year, as Tchami and he spearheaded the future house movement that is currently sweeping the dance music community. The Dutchman was signed to Spinnin’ Records in 2013 and exploded into the scene with his chart-dominating hit “Gecko (Overdrive).” In a short number of years, Heldens has garnered enough accolades to make even superstar producers envious, as he was named Mixmag’s “Star of the Year” in 2014 in addition to being included on Shazam’s “2015 Hit Maker” list, and named as one of Rolling Stone’s “Artists to Watch.”

Fresh off the release of his collaboration with the bass music duo, Zeds Dead, titled “You Know,” the red-hot Heldens is on the fast track to superstardom, and with forthcoming releases like “Melody,” and an unannounced collaboration with Don Diablo coming down the pipeline, it doesn’t seem like the Dutch sensation is slowing down anytime soon.

As we gear up to see what Heldens has in store for us in 2015, we decided to take a look at our favorite Oliver Heldens music videos.

1. Last All Night (Koala)

Arguably Heldens’ biggest track to date, “Last All Night (Koala)” is future house at its finest. With the extremely talented K. Stewart on the vocals, Heldens works wonders on the rest of the track, intricately weaving together synth stabs with big basslines and catchy melodies.

The music video follows the story of an older scientist who, with the help of a mysterious chemical mixture, manages to give himself some impressive, albeit humorous, physical abilities. Heldens’ groove and KStewart’s vocals come together to deliver a product that makes you want to dance, much like our mad scientist friend.

2. Gecko (Overdrive)

Shortly after the future house pioneer signed to the iconic dance imprint, Spinnin’ Records, the release of “Gecko (Overdrive)” put Oliver Heldens’ on the map and let the world know that the talented youngster was here to stay. Future house to the core, “Gecko (Overdrive)” dominated charts around the world, peaking at #1 in the UK, while making itself a staple in club sets. Heldens gives the track a deep groove that is perfectly complemented by Becky Hill’s strong, stirring vocals.

The music video for “Gecko (Overdrive)” follows the steamy relationship of a man and a woman celebrating their anniversary, only for their daughter and her crush to walk in on them in the act. After a slightly less than comfortable dinner, the boy heads upstairs to find the parents engaged in…tentacle sex? That’s all we’ll say about the video for now, but check it out above.

3. You Know

“You Know” was Oliver Heldens’ collaboration with the Canadian bass duo, Zeds Dead. The track is a massive future house tune that borrows elements from bass music that elevate the track to something higher than a quintessential banger. With a big, heavy bassline as the foundation, Heldens and Zeds Dead intricately layer glitchy synth riffs, a catchy vocal sample, and subtle bass wobbles that make “You Know” a groovy, festival-ready tune.

The music video follows Heldens and Zeds Dead around the world, giving fans a glimpse into the life that superstar DJs live. The video highlights performances at iconic festivals and venues like Tomorrowland in Belgium, and Red Rocks in Colorado.
