Red Rocks Turns Down For Bass Music Due To Noise Complaints

If you don’t know by now, I live in Colorado. In fact, I only live about 10 miles from Red Rocks. I’ve been to hundreds of shows there, and if you haven’t been, you need to make it a priority on your bucket list; it’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
Aside from it’s astonishing beauty, Red Rocks is know for hosting some of the best artists every year. I even named Skrillex‘s show at Red Rocks one of my Top Five Sets of 2014! But it looks like some of the fun may be limited in 2015.
Just recently, Denver released new regulations on volume levels, as well as earlier end times for shows, due to complaints from Morrison residents (Red Rocks is in Morrison, CO). According to Denver Arts and Venues Executive Director Kent Rice; “The ceiling has been lowered…and artists must adjust the noise levels of their entire shows accordingly.” Well as unfortunate as these restrictions may be, don’t be discouraged about seeing a show there…trust me, do you really think Skrillex is gonna actually turn down the bass? Didn’t think so…
