Mack Maine, the president of Lil’ Wayne‘s Young Money imprint, spoke on the situation with Cash Money in an interview and discussed Tha Carter V album. He says it’s coming in the first quarter of 2015.
“He’s touching up the album and about to start another special project for the people.” said Mack. “I can’t give a definitive date [for C5]. I can just say first quarter for sure… It’s coming out. Don’t get it twisted like it’s not coming out.”
Weezy confirmed who really matters earlier this week with a tweet, following a whole lot of controversy with him and his parent label, Cash Money. He even went as far as saying that he’s in a bad situation and “will be out of it soon” … but not so fast.
This could mean one of two things: that he’s out of Cash Money, or that he’s out of the sticky situation. The way it sounds now is that he’s hashing things out with Birdman, going to tweak Carter V, and get everything together for a release in the first part of 2015, on YMCMB.
