Calvin Harris Releases Music Video For “Blame,” Breaks Another Spotify Record

Although it may not seem like it’s as big as “Summer” just yet, Calvin Harris‘ new single “Blame” is crushing it.

Just days after becoming the first UK solo artist to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify, he’s done it again, as “Blame” rises to #1 on the global charts in a mere three days. It usually takes… seven weeks.

“Virality is at the heart of our service, so when the Spotify engine fires on all cylinders, and music fans playlisting and sharing across the globe from the day of release, it can lead to extraordinary chart performance. For Calvin, the result is this unprecedented rate of growth and a global number one on Spotify just three days after release when we are more used to hits climbing to the top of the chart over weeks rather than days.” – Kevin Brown, Spotify’s Head Of Label Relations for Europe

And of course the surge won’t stop there, as he releases the music video for the single today. It features himself and the vocalist John Newman with some sexy girls. Check it out after the jump.
