Jay Z Launches New Soda Line 40/40
Named after his chain of night clubs, hip hop mogul Jay Z has expanded to his next venture – soda. Launching last month in a select Walgreens, the new drink 40/40 features an “Arnold Palmer-esque” flavor made for “sports-loving males.”
It’s currently pushing about 1,000 units a week, but that should drastically increase once it’s available in 7500 stores nationwide in the next few months.
And of course, since it’s 2014, and Jay Z will always try and one up everyone else, each bottle is outfitted with technology that allows customers to access exclusive content from HOV using their smartphones.
