MTV To Broadcast Tomorrowland 2014 Internationally
This is massive news! For the first time in it’s 10 year history, Tomorrowland will be broadcasted worldwide, across MTV’s international channels. In previous years, we’ve had to watch the event through YouTube’s stream (which will likely still be the premiere destination to watch the event), however, this coming year, the event will be televised as part of a two hour broadcast via MTV’s World Stage Franchise.
According to Bruce Gillmer, Executive Vice President of Talent and Music Programming/Events, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN);
“Tomorrowland is a festival in a category of its own, so we’re excited to bring this content to MTV’s international audiences…Electronic dance music has been part of MTV’s repertoire for almost two decades, stretching right back to the early years – particularly in Europe. So working with Tomorrowland is a perfect fit, and connects us with the new generation of EDM fans and followers around the world”
We reached out to clarify what exactly MTV had in store and they did not confirm a live stream of the festival but rather said: “We’ll be airing 2 one-hour specials featuring footage from Tomorrowland 2014 later this summer.”
Stay tuned for more information about this news, but for now, get ready to catch Tomorrowland on your TV in the coming months!
