Beyoncè Goes Platinum + Surprises Fans At Walmart To Say Screw You To Target & Amazon
Beyoncè has been doing work in the past couple weeks. Shocking the world with her self-titled album on December 12th, Bey went platinum (selling 1,000,000 copies) at around 11:15 a.m. this past Wednesday. ‘Beyoncè’ has hit the number one spot worldwide in 104 countries. This goes to show you if an album leak doesn’t happen then the artist is much better off. Some artists disagree with that but the numbers don’t.
Sasha Fierce’s album hit stores on Friday, but only was sold at Wal-Mart. Target and Amazon refused to sell it due to the release being initially online. Beyoncè wasn’t too pleased with that so the Queen B went to Wal-Mart to surprise fans and to actually buy her own album. That’s right if you were at the Tewksbury, Massachusetts Wal-Mart at 7 P.M. last night you would’ve been hanging out with Bey. Oh and you would’ve received a $50 gift card too. All 720 people in the store got 50 bucks and Beyoncè’s grand total at the register was around $37,000. Hey Target and Amazon,”You mad bro?”
