CLMD – Fader (Out Now) [Deep/Progressive House Music]
My first immersion into Carl Louis and Martin Danielle’s (CLMD) music was two summers ago when their single “Black Eyes & Blue” was gaining traction in the semi-burgeoning dance scene. Not only did that progressive house song used to wow me because of its progressive house and pop sound but also I got first taste at them to know what makes them special.
The Norweigan Duo can light up a keyboard with their up-tempo and original style of piano playing. This can be heard on their newest release “Fader”, which just released today via Trice Recordings. “Fader” is deep, progressive house music that is 9 minutes long. As the song introduced, CLMD began prepping its heavy drop by coupling synths and piano melodies around a funky and reoccurring sample. The production on this is joyful and lead by its original harmony, can create cool dance vibes. The problem for me, however, is the song’s length because it takes a few listens for this one to actually swallow. Nonetheless its still a masterpiece and something new that’s original.
