Introducing: Ax – On My Way Out (Mixtape) [Classic, Underground Hip-Hop]

cover

I’d like to introduce Ax to FistInTheAir as he presents us his debut mixtape, ‘On My Way Out‘. Ax is a rapper out of the Bronx, NY and his style, flow, and swagger resemble some of the greatest hip-hop artists out of the borough. He has a sound that’s classic as well as dynamic, rapping about personal issues such as violence, personal hardships, and love for hip-hop culture over production that’s soulful, hip, and in some instances hyphey.

While I’m really digging all of the songs on the mixtape, my favorite track has to be “My City”. The production by Dipset legends BudaDaFuture & GRANDZMUZIK is catchy and when complemented by Ax‘s flawless delivery this song has the potential to become an anthem in NYC. The other songs I’m digging off the mixtape are “Birth/intro”, “King”, “Slug Inside Me”, “All Day All Night”, and of course “Love Hate” which features the Gym Class Heroes front-man Travie McCoy.

If you’re a fan of underground hip-hop or even rap music in general, then perhaps you should take a listen to ‘On My Way Out‘ by Ax. Credible sources, such as Travie McCoy, Action Bronson, DJ Premiere, and Fat Joe, have confirmed that Ax is the real deal and I feel that this successful mixtape confirms his own arrival as a legitimate NYC rapper.
