Matthew Koma – One Night (Betablock3r Remix)

With a more consistent rather than meteoric rise on the music landscape, Matthew Koma has worked to establish his brand of style, delivery and vocal talent through such collaborations like the omnipresent Zedd instant classic “Spectrum” (that, despite being beat to death by every aspiring producer on the planet, including myself, still carries effortless charm and sing along appeal) and his notable vocal contribution on Alesso’s outstanding and emotionally charged “Years”. In his latest original offering he enlists the help of incredibly talented producers to reinvent the summer appeal it already exudes.

Betablock3r is a quiet storm of audible clarity, strong musicality and a penchant for making you feel good no matter what song they are remixing. With that being rare and evident they’ve been called to officially remix such tracks like Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” and Natasha Bedingfield’s collaboration with Lifehouse on “Between the Raindrops”. Their latest venture is a pleasure and perfect for the infringing summer heat and festivities, capturing a bouncing disco vibe that has been brought to the light completely with the release of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. I’m really loving the new embrace of the old disco style and this is a perfect example of doing it right.
