French Montana – “It Was A Good Year” ft. Mac Miller & Curren$y [Prod. Harry Fraud]
Closing out the fourth quarter of 2012 French Montana recruits Mac Miller & Curren$y on a Harry Fraud production flipping Ice Cube’s classic It Was A Good Day. The end product turned into It Was A Good Year. It was definitely a good year for Mac Miller as he was number 19 on Forbes’ list for Cash Kings 2012: Hip Hop’s 20 top earners raking in $6.5 million. You may have your opinions on Mac but he definitely transcended the mold of an indie artist taking a major label out of the equation. Being a fan of French since his song New York Minute was released, this is all-around a solid song with my only complaint being that Spitta’s levels could have been engineered a little better.
By the way this song will be featured on Mac & Cheese 3 releasing later this year leading up to his debut album Excuse My French releasing early 2013.
