Gun Shots Are Fired After Young Jeezy and Rick Ross Fight
Is is wrong that I’m excited for what this could do for them artistically? Because I can only listen to how rich they are for so long…I’m ready for more hood rat shit for sure.
In what the Atlanta Police Department deems to be untrue, there were apparently several reports of gunfire being shot in the parking lot of the Atlanta Civic Center during a taping of the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards on Saturday, which was sparked by a backstage fight between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy.
With that said, part of me wonders if this could be a publicity stunt. ESPECIALLY when the APD is saying those reports “appear to be untrue.” I mean, why not create a little controversial buzz before the BET Hip Hop Awards airs on Oct. 9, at 8pm, right?
According to TMZ:
“Our sources on the scene say that after the fight had been broken up, a member of Rick Ross’ entourage pulled out a gun while in the parking lot and shots were fired.”
While TMZ’s “sources” maintain that there were gunshots, BET didn’t really confirm or deny that any were fired in the statement they released, which basically just reiterates that they don’t condone any violence…right…although I’m sure they’re excited about what this is going to do for their viewership next Tuesday.
Here’s TMZ’s “footage” of what went down, if you can even call it that.
And I have no idea how or why 50 Cent‘s entourage got involved in this, but HoodstarzzTv got cell phone footage of the scene after Maybach Music Group artist and Rick Ross’ protégé Gunplay was jumped by “5+” members of Fiddy’s entourage near the trailers. Hoodstarzz managed to capture the moment when four members of the entourage left, Gun Play was left fending off the remaining guy, and the cops pepper sprayed him. He proceeded to run off towards 2 Chaaaaainz‘s trailer shortly thereafter. Yikes
So here’s that mess:
I may or may not be tuning in just to listen for the gunshots in the background. If you decide to as well, it’s most likely before Rick Ross comes out to perform. Props to Ross for bouncing back quick…
