Introducing: The Voice Behind Madeon’s “The City,” Zak Waters
L.A. musician Zak Waters, the lyricist behind Madeon’s “The City,” interests us. While MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog describes Waters’ newst single “Skinny Dipping in the Deep End” as a mix between Foster The People and Maroon 5, we raise them this comparison: It sounds like a cross between Daft Punk’s “Digital Love” and Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk.”
Either way, there will be a whole lot more Waters for us to listen to when he releases his newest solo album in September–of which “Skinny Dipping in the Deep End” is the single.
We’ll be looking out for his vocals on an upcoming track from DCUP, too. And it probably won’t end there, cause the guy’s got talent.
