Bassnectar – “Va Va Voom” (Feat. Lupe Fiasco) & “Weed Wid da Macca” Remixes

These remixes are HUGE. I’ve been waiting for the newest drop by Bassnectar in anticipation of his upcoming Freestyle Mixtape, these tracks were featured in his recent minimix, and now the individual tracks should definitely hold us over for a bit. He decided to remix his own collab with Lupe in a much more trap-sounding style, while Weed Wid da Macca is a bootleg of Modeselektor & Ninjaman.

This version is deeper and thicker with big 808 beats and a synth line that sounds like a rabid mosquito. It’s actually the original version of Vava Voom’s hip hop section, which was intended to be finished last fall, but I added too many layers and took it to new places, so this is a return to the original feel that Vava Voom was gonna have.
