Damn what a thing to wake up to. As promised, Lupe let’s go of “Friend Of The People” with 9 completely new tracks (we’ve heard Joaquin Phoenix, Lightwork, SLR before). Although Lasers was kinda a let down (even Lupe himself said he hated it) it was still amazing and full of hits, and Lasers Vol. 2 (The Leftovers) mixtape showed some signs the old Lupe was back, this is really good, full of sick samples and remixes – he goes HARD. You’ll hear Nero, Justice, Bassnectar/Ellie Goulding, The Glitch Mob, M83 and more. Just a random little something I noticed, the genre listed on the tape was “Unclassifiable” which is hilarious, and true. Anyway, enjoy this gift from Lupe Fiasco and I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving is full of beer, turkey, football, and music.
